New Frontier Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip opened in 1942 as the Last Frontier after beginning as the Pair O’ Dice nightclub in 1931. It became the New Frontier in 1955 and then simply The Frontier under Howard Hughes in 1967 before reverting to the New Frontier name in 1998. It closed on July 16, 2007 and was imploded on November 13, 2007. This retro vintage design was inspired by the vintage hotels and resorts of yesteryear.
