From the moment you stepped inside the Sheraton-Cleveland Hotel’s Kon Tiki, you were transported to a far off island world filled with carved masks, glowing pufferfish lamps, and rum fueled escapism. Opened in 1965, it became a midwestern oasis for exotic cocktails and Polynesian flair until it closed in the late 1970s.
